Shota Sakagami (pictured in the front) runs a parfait shop with an undisclosed address in Sogawa, Toyama City.

When asked about his favorite souvenirs, Sakagami mentioned that the most critical aspect of choosing a souvenir is considering “who you are giving it to and the occasion,” making it a difficult question to answer.

With that in mind, he asked us to imagine bringing a gift to a mentor in the restaurant industry who had supported him in the past. He suggested bringing macaroons from his shop, Sogawa Parfait Lascoo (in Toyama City), which changes the cream inside according to the season.
He said that, as a way of providing an update on his business, he would like to present his own shop’s products when meeting such a person.
