RENEW / 2021, a well-known backstage tour at local craft studios starts in Sabae City, Echizen City, and Echizen Town in Fukui Prefecture from March 11th (Friday) to 13th (Sunday) 2022. (*It was scheduled in October last year but postponed to March this year due to the spread of the COVID-19). The general information counter is at Urushi-no-Sato Kaikan in Sabae City.

The Tannan area, the venue, is a unique area where local industries such as Echizen lacquerware, Echizen Japanese traditional handmade paper, Echizen knives, Echizen chests, Echizen ware, eyeglasses, textiles pile up within a 10km distance.

Through backstage tours at local craft studios, purchasing crafts at shops, and participation in talk events and workshops enable you to deepen different viewpoints to your local community and lifestyle.

In this 7th time backstage tour, about 92 local companies such as craft studios, restaurants, and accommodations will participate from 7 production areas.
