The Fukui Shimbun celebrates its 100th anniversary, and at the commemorative party held at Phoenix Plaza, Fukui Shimbun President Yoshida Kosuke announced that the new office building construction would begin.

Q. What kind of newspaper is the Fukui Shimbun?

The Fukui Shinbun is a daily newspaper founded in 1899, and its headquarters is in Fukui City. It has absorbed and merged Fukui Minpo, Shin Fukui Nippo, Mikuni Shimbun, Katsuyama Asahi Shimbun, Hokuriku Times, Tsuruga Jiji Shimbun, Wakashu Shimbun, and others.

 

The new office building was completed in 2001, and business operations began in 2002.
