The number of vehicles passing Hakusan Super Forest Road exceeds two million [25-year ago today]

 

The number of vehicles passing Hakusan Super Forest Road, which runs through Ishikawa and Gifu prefectures, has exceeded 2 million since it began operation.

 

The Ishikawa and Gifu Prefectural Forestry Public Corporations, which manage the road, presented some users with gifts at both toll gates in each prefecture.

Q. When did Hakusan Super Forest Road open?

Now is Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road. A toll road began operation in August 1977.

 

It connects the 24.5 km distance between Nakamiya Toll Gate in Ishikawa Prefecture and Magari Toll Gate in Gifu Prefecture. It passes through the Hakusan National Park.
