Hachiro Nitta, 41, Appointed President of Nihonkai Gas [25-Year Ago Today]

 

Nihonkai Gas Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Toyama City) has appointed Hachiro Nitta, 41, as its new president. The eldest son of the former president, Shichiro Nitta, Hachiro Nitta previously served as Executive Vice President.

Q. Who is Hachiro Nitta?

Hachiro Nitta graduated from Hitotsubashi University’s Faculty of Economics in 1981 and joined Nihonkai Gas in 1983. Over the years, he held key positions, including Director, Managing Executive Officer, and Executive Vice President.

 

In addition to his corporate roles, Nitta served as President of the Junior Chamber International Japan. Upon his appointment as president, he also engaged in key roles as chairman of several group companies and the Gas Business Human Resource Development Association.

 

In 2018, he became President and Representative Director of Nihonkai Gas Kizuna Holdings Co., Ltd. Two years later, in 2020, he was elected Governor of Toyama Prefecture.
